Compared to the November reading, consumer confidence was higher by 3.9 points from an upwardly revised figure of 111.9. 19.9% of consumers surveyed stated that business conditions were good, up 2 percentage points from the prior reading. Jobs remain plentiful, but there was a slight month over month decrease in this reading. 26.7% of those surveyed believe that business conditions will better over the next six months, while 17.9% believed conditions would worsen.
