While the third quarter earnings season began this week with Alcoa’s (AA) report last night, things don’t really pick up until next week when a couple hundred companies are set to report. Using data from our Interactive Earnings Calendar that all Bespoke Premium and Bespoke Institutional members have access to, below is a list of the 40 largest companies set to report earnings next week. The list is sorted by date and time, and for each stock, we include its historical earnings and revenue beat rates (% of the time they have beaten analyst estimates). The right-most column shows the average percentage change that the stock has historically experienced on its earnings reaction day (ERD). For companies that report after the close, its ERD is the next trading day. For companies that report before the open, its ERD is that trading day.
Monday is a quiet day on the earnings front, but things pick up on Tuesday with Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) in the morning and Intel (INTC) and JP Morgan (JPM) after the close. On Wednesday we’ll hear from Bank of America (BAC), Delta (DAL) and Wells Fargo (WFC) in the morning and then Netflix (NFLX) in the evening. Thursday morning we get reports from Citigroup (C), Goldman Sachs (GS) and UnitedHealth (UNH), while we’ll hear from Schlumberger (SLB) after the close. General Electric (GE) and Honeywell (HON) will be the headline reports on Friday morning.
