NAHB Table 071615Home builder sentiment held steady at post-recession highs in the month of July as the NAHB sentiment index came in at a level of 60, which was one point better than consensus expectations of 59.  As shown in the table to the right, both Present and Future sales (second and third charts below) also increased this month to post-recession highs while Traffic saw a slight decline.  On a regional basis, the South was the only area of the country where sentiment declined.  The biggest increase in regional sentiment came in the Northeast (bottom chart), which also hit a post-recession and a nine-year high.
