The average stock in the S&P 500 is now up 2.3% year-to-date.  But 29 stocks in the index are now up more than 20% year-to-date.

Below is a list of the 30 best performing stocks in the S&P 500 so far in 2016.  It’s made up of a who’s who of the most beaten down stocks in the index prior to the rally we’ve seen over the last month or so.

On the flip side, many of the biggest losers year-to-date are the stocks that had been doing the best prior to this year.  Four biotech stocks top the list of losers (remember when Biotech couldn’t do anything but go up?), and even market-darling (AMZN) appears with a YTD decline of 18%.  Other notables on the list of losers include TripAdvisor (TRIP), Micron (MU), Biogen (BIIB), Morgan Stanley (MS), Celgene (CELG) and Citigroup (C).
